Leading property developer Psaros has scooped an award at the 2014 Global Sustainability Film Awards this week.
The Awards encourage companies and organisations to share innovative sustainability practice and ideas through film, and Psaros was awarded with Highly Commended in the Inspiring Good Governance category.
The ceremony was held at BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) in London where an awards spokesperson commented:
“Psaros demonstrated its commitment to sustainability in residential construction, the company understands the importance of having sustainability underpin every aspect of the business, and they recognise the opportunities to be gained from doing business in this way, and should be applauded”.
2014 saw the largest number of submissions received from organisations across the globe including Westpac Bank, Cathay Pacific, HSBC, Ernst & Young and WWF.
Oliver Rothschild, Awards Chairman said: “The tve Global Sustainability Film Awards 2014 have taken us around the world in an evening, and given us a very visual insight into how companies and institutions big and small are tackling some of the biggest challenges we face on this planet.
I hope that companies and foundations globally and in a variety of sectors will want to watch these films online and on tv and aspire to exercise sustainable business protocols and thus be making a genuine contribution towards valid ethical standards.”
The tve's Global Sustainability Film Awards put the spotlight on corporate innovation at its best - showing how business can drive environmental and social change and still make a profit. In addition, the films will be broadcast on Sky 189 on Sky 189 across Europe, on Freeview across the UK, and on a Chinese online freeview platform reaching 17 million viewers across China and Asia.
